General Manager

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking a culturally connected Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander leader to join us as General Manager. This is an identified role leading our organisation, which empowers Aboriginal people through programs that build identity, confidence, and self-determination, guided by our values of Culture, Care, Community, Capacity, and Capability. As GM you will:

  • Lead CHAC’s day-to-day operations and strategic growth.

  • Advocate for our Community and Culture, representing CHAC publicly.

  • Support and develop our leadership team and organisational structure.

  • Ensure CHAC remains community-driven and culturally grounded.

Indigenous Justice Program Coordinator

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking an Indigenous Justice Program Coordinator for the Full Time position as a support and rehabilitation officer to implement a pre and post Prison Release support and Rehabilitation Program for Aboriginal people in Northwest Tasmania and outreach to other communities across Tasmania. Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Provide holistic, culturally safe support and comprehensive case management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners in the lead-up to their release from prison and throughout their transition to life outside;

  • Ensure prisoners receive the services or support they need for successful rehabilitation in the community;

  • Develop and coordinate programs and report accordingly, including budgeting expenses;

  • Ensure all client information is kept secure and safe and confidentiality is of high priority and non-negotiable;

  • Work effectively in team environments
