General Manager

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking a culturally connected Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander leader to join us as General Manager. This is an identified role leading our organisation, which empowers Aboriginal people through programs that build identity, confidence, and self-determination, guided by our values of Culture, Care, Community, Capacity, and Capability. As GM you will:

  • Lead CHAC’s day-to-day operations and strategic growth.

  • Advocate for our Community and Culture, representing CHAC publicly.

  • Support and develop our leadership team and organisational structure.

  • Ensure CHAC remains community-driven and culturally grounded.

Board Secretary

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking a Board Secretary to support our Board of Directors.
This key governance role plays an important part in ensuring strong governance, compliance, and effective coordination of Board and committee functions.

This is a key governance and executive coordination role responsible for:

  • Board and committee secretariat functions

  • Governance compliance.

Board Secretariat & Governance:

  • 8 hours per month

  • Coordinate Board, committee and General Meetings

  • Prepare and distribute Board packs

  • Record accurate minutes, resolutions and action logs.

Human Resources Coordinator

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in North‑West Tasmania.
This hands-on role supports a growing workforce, coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employee wellbeing, and HR processes that strengthen our organisation and community impact.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Manage employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding

  • Provide practical HR advice, balancing people and business needs

  • Maintain HR policies, processes and compliance requirements

  • Support managers on employee engagement, performance and development

  • Contribute to culture-building activities and wellbeing programs

  • Analyse HR data and identify opportunities for improvement.

Financial Officer

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) is seeking a Financial Officer to join our team in North‑West Tasmania.

The Financial Officer will play a critical role in supporting CHAC’s operations by maintaining robust financial and accounting processes that reflect our community values and priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant awards.

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, conduct reconciliations, and manage banking activities.

  • Assist with Payroll preparation and processing.

  • Assist with continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
