Community Language Coordinator

Community Language Coordinator - Part Time

​

The part time (0.8) Community Language Coordinator role will work alongside the Language Project Manager to embed, implement and foster local language into the community. This role will work closely with community, local schools, and more to empower the use of local language.

  • To work with the Language Project Manager to develop a plan to meet the objectives of the Northwest Language Revitalisation Project in accordance with the KPIs.

  • To design and develop varied resources to assist with engagement and adoption of local language.

  • To work within local schools and childcare centres to teach language alongside the Culture Manager.

  • To co-host Community Workshops to teach language to our Elders and broader Community.

  • To work alongside the Community Language Committee to develop policy and procedures for community adoption of local language.

  • Additional responsibilities outlined in Position Description.

Media & Public Relations Coordinator

Media & Public Relations Coordinator - Part Time

​

The part time (0.6) Media & Public Relations Coordinator role will work alongside the Communications & Engagement Manager to enhance CHAC’s voice and presence through development and establishment of a professional Public Relations profile.

  • Maintain and update Public information on social media platforms;

  • Engage with CHAC members through the development of the Quarterly Newsletter;

  • Undertake Administration and maintenance of the CHAC website;

  • Work with all CHAC employees to ensure the public is aware of “good news” stories about their various programs including internal newsletter;

  • Co-ordinate internal communications alongside Communications & Engagement Manager, General Manager, Board and all staff;

  • Co-ordinate with CHAC teams the development of resources for public view as required;

  • Additional responsibilities outlined in Position Description.
