Community Language Coordinator

Community Language Coordinator - Part Time

​

The part time (0.8) Community Language Coordinator role will work alongside the Language Project Manager to embed, implement and foster local language into the community. This role will work closely with community, local schools, and more to empower the use of local language.

  • To work with the Language Project Manager to develop a plan to meet the objectives of the Northwest Language Revitalisation Project in accordance with the KPIs.

  • To design and develop varied resources to assist with engagement and adoption of local language.

  • To work within local schools and childcare centres to teach language alongside the Culture Manager.

  • To co-host Community Workshops to teach language to our Elders and broader Community.

  • To work alongside the Community Language Committee to develop policy and procedures for community adoption of local language.

Financial Officer

Financial Officer - Full Time

​

The full time Financial Officer will play a critical role in supporting CHAC’s operations by maintaining robust financial and accounting processes that reflect our community values and priorities. Reporting to the General Manager and CHAC Treasurer, this role oversees payroll, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and administrative support for program areas. The Financial Officer will lead and support finance staff, ensure compliance with legislation and funding requirements, and contribute to the organisation’s ongoing financial sustainability.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant awards.

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, conduct reconciliations, and manage banking activities.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, budgets, and program-specific financial statements.

  • Support grant acquittals, funding applications, and audits.

  • Collaborate with Program Managers on budget preparation and financial monitoring.

  • Assist with continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

Health Centre Administrator

Health Centre Administrator - Full Time

​

The full time Health Administrator role will work alongside the Health Centre Coordinator to coordinate appointments, referrals and waitlists for our visiting specialists. This role is customer facing, with a high level or customer service and confidentiality is required.

  • Prepare Health Centre for the day including room set up for visiting specialists;

  • Liaise with clients and their families or support people in a compassionate manner;

  • Liaise with General Practitioners, and other health professionals and their staff when required;

  • Co-ordinate appointments with clients and health providers, send reminders and record cancellations;

  • Receive and process incoming referrals, book appointment and place on wait list monitoring for urgency;

  • Enter Tazreach appointments and required data for specialists into Communicare as per IAHP;

  • Additional responsibilities outlined in Position Description.
