Wheels to Go is a bus which is hired out to the community at competitive rates.

Seats 12 adults including driver.

Standard class C license is required to drive the bus.

All programs within CHAC utilise the bus to take groups on day excursions, camps and workshops.

Wheels to Go Booking Form
HIRING POLICY HIRING FEE • The “Wheels 2” Go community bus is hired for a fee of $1.00 per kilometre, with a minimum charge of $30.00. • CHAC reserves the right to request a deposit of $100.00 with each booking.   HIRER’S RESPONSIBILITIES • The person booking the “Wheels 2 Go” community bus shall be known as the Hirer. • It is the responsibility of the Hirer to complete and sign a booking form available from Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC), 10 King Street, Smithton. No booking will be secured until this form is signed and lodged with CHAC. • It is the responsibility of the Hirer (if not the driver) to inform the driver that they will be required to complete and sign the Driver Details section of the Booking Form and produce their Driver’s Licence upon request. A copy of the Licence will be held by CHAC. • It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that the bus interior is returned in the same clean condition in which it left. • In the event of damage to the interior of the bus whilst it is being hired, the Hirer agrees to accept full responsibility and agrees to be invoiced for the full cost to repair the damage. • In the event of an accident that results in damage to the bus, the Hirer agrees to reimburse CHAC for any excess incurred under CHAC’s Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy. • You agree to provide CHAC with a list of all passengers, however where this breaches an organisation’s confidentiality policy, the numbers of passengers will suffice. DRIVER’S RESPONSIBILIY • The driver of the bus is required to complete and sign the Driver Details section of the Booking Form and produce their Driver’s Licence upon request. A copy of the Licence will be held by CHAC. • The person responsible for driving the bus must have a current Tasmanian Driver’s Licence; be the age of 25 years and over; and have had no drink driving offences in the past five years. • The driver is the only person who can collect the keys for the bus. • The driver is responsible for all traffic infringements incurred whilst driving the bus. • The driver must have zero blood alcohol / illicit drug readings whilst driving the bus. CANCELLATION FEE • If a booking is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee of $30 may apply. • If a booking is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee of $50 will apply. • The confirmed booking date may be changed within 48 hours of booking the bus, without being charged a cancellation fee.
