Sport and Recreation

The Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation recognises the importance of keeping the members of the community happy and healthy. The objective of the program is to increase the active participation of able and disabled Indigenous Australians in sport and physical recreational activities. We also encourage community ownership and management of our activities.


Services Provided:

• Plan, develop and implement programs that engage the young and not so young in activities that benefit them physically and mentally.
• Promotes a positive healthy lifestyle and personal well-being by providing quality training facilities to meet the needs of the Indigenous population.
• Maintains a close working relationship with all the local sporting clubs, schools, council and other relevant organisations.
• Play Group is held Tuesdays 9:30am – 11:00am at Smithton Girl Guides hall.
• Flip Flop Gym is held Fridays 9:30am – 11:00am at Smithton Girl Guides hall.
